While the valknut is often used as a symbol of sacrifice to Odin in modern devotional practice, its three interlocking triangles and nine points can also represent the three levels of the astral planes (the upper worlds, underworlds, and Midgard), the nine worlds, and Odin’s ability to travel freely between them. This necklace can thus be worn as a sign of devotion to Odin in general, but with its grey silver palette it is also perfectly suited to Odin as Wanderer.
A shiny lead-free pewter valknut adorns a strand of 6mm grade AA grey moss quartz rounds, 6mm gleaming silver fused quartz rounds, 10mm blue-grey sapphire rounds, 4mm inky blue faceted sapphire rondelles, 4mm faceted black hematite rounds, and tiny 2mm black hematite spacers. The beads are strung on professional-quality beading wire (clear-coating flexible stainless steel), finished with sterling silver crimps and sterling silver wire guards. The necklace measures 19 1/2″ in circumference and fastens with an easy to work fine silver-plated brass lobster claw clasp. (If you need a longer length, let me know in “note to seller” when making your purchase and I’ll be happy to include an extender chain at no extra charge.) The valknut pendant measures 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ not including the bail.
This necklace is $90, which accounts for the cost of materials and labor. I do accept layaway, and would be happy to set up a payment plan for you if you really love this but it would be more convenient to pay for it over two or more installments. (Such as two payments of $45, or three payments of $30.) Please take a look at my layaway policy, then convo me and we’ll set something up!
